Jess’ Bachelorette Party Adventure in Saratoga
It's summertime and wedding season is in full swing. I would know as I'm a bridesmaid in two weddings and went to another a few weeks ago.
Being a bridesmaid has it's ups and down. The downs being spending all that money for a dress and gifts, but then you have your ups. The ups being the Bachelorette Party.
This past weekend I had planned a Saratoga getaway weekend for my best friend who asked me to be her Maid of Honor. She wanted to get away, but also be close to home. I figured Saratoga has some great restaurants and wineries, plus it wont be too crowded since track week doesn't start until this Friday.
I was pleasantly surprised that Saratoga is a happening Bachelorette Party location.
I saw at least 5 or 6 different Bachelorette groups walking the streets and tasting the wines in Saratoga. And the streets were full of 20 somethings heading to the bars all night long.
We rented an AirBnB a little outside of town. On the first night we took a sunset cruise on Lake Saratoga (ask for Captian Hal):
Saturday we visited Saratoga Winery, took a ride on the Carousal, went to dinner on Broadway and enjoyed the bars on Caroline Street.
If you're looking for something close by the Hudson Valley, but want to get out of town I would highly suggest taking a 2 hour drive up to Saratoga.
This week is the official opening weekend for Saratoga Track season with closing day coming on September 3rd.
