Everyone has a place that they enjoy visiting which makes them feel comfortable and like home. To me, Stewart's Shops has always brought those good feelings and excitement to visit.

New York state residents know that Stewart's Shops is considered more than a gas station and convenience store. Those who visit feel welcomed, can grab their favorite food and get some gas as well.

Stewart's Shops have over 350 locations that are across 32 counties in New York state and Vermont. Within the Capital Region, Stewart's Shops are also the largest employers as well. There are manufacturing plants and corporate offices too.

On social media, we have been able to watch Stewart's Shops grow while still carrying on traditions. They created an online merchandise shop, continue to come out with new ice cream flavors and more.

Stewart's Shops Re Released Seasonal Ice Cream Flavor With Upstate New York College

Stewart's Shops has re-released a seasonal ice cream flavor. However, they did this in partnership with an upstate New York college.

New York Upstate shared information about the latest collaboration. They claimed that RPI also known as Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute turned 200 in 2024. As a way to celebrate, Stewart's Shops helped them to rename an ice cream flavor.

"Last November, RPI students, faculty, staff and alumni submitted more than 500 names for the ice cream, and Quantum Freeze won the final vote."

Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute made a post on social media about their exciting new collaboration with Stewart's Shops and the name of the ice cream flavor they came up with, Quantum Freeze.

"️ Reminder to save the date! Feb 5 is a special day in our bicentennial celebration, and we're excited to share it with you! Join us as we partner with Stewart's Shops to unveil "Quantum Freeze," a reimagined version of the classic "Fireworks" ice cream.

"We are thrilled about this collaboration with Stewart’s," says Bill Majewski, Stewart's Shops marketing director. "It’s a perfect fusion of RPI's innovative spirit and Stewart’s commitment to the community. Celebrating with ice cream couldn’t be more fitting!"

Quantum Freeze can be described as,

"a tantalizing tart cherry swirl with dynamic red and blue Pop Rocks in velvety vanilla ice cream."

I have always enjoyed stopping by my favorite local ice cream shops and choosing a new flavor. Whether it's a hot fudge sundae, chocolate peanut butter ice cream in a cone, or an ice cream sandwich, count me in.

The Hudson Valley has strange ice cream flavors. From lemon poppyseed to thai iced tea and barn boots, there aren't any boring flavors in our area.
