Alert: Massive Dog Food Recall In New York State
Recently, there was a widespread recall of a certain variety of dog food. It is scary because your dog is part of the family and you would most likely do anything to protect them.
The right dog food, for the right price, is key. We have two dogs; a black lab and mini dachshund. They are very different, but the food works for both and they really enjoy it! Now there is word that at popular dog food brand has been recalled across the United States and here in New York State.
The recall is for 8-pound and 20-pound bags with production codes 2249 1082, 2250 1082, 2276 1082, 2277 1082, 2290 1082, 2360 1082 and 2361 1082.
NEW EXPANDED RECALL:
As of March 15th, there is word the that recall has been expanded due in part to elevated levels of vitamin D in various products.
Nestlé Purina PetCare Company is recalling more of its prescription dog food over potentially elevated levels of vitamin D, according to federal health officials.
The good weather can't be far off here in New York State. As a dog owner, I am just hoping for dry weather. I love our dogs but the muddy paws and cold days make it it ruff for walking them.
