This is like something out of the movies.

A casino gets ripped off for half a million dollars and it was mostly done by a couple of employees.

No it wasn't like a scene out of Ocean's 11 but a pretty genius way to steal.

According to WNEP and State police in Pennsylvania, the scam involved player cards that casinos give to their customers. The cards were loaded with money that didn't exist and two of the three people that were caught doing this worked at the casino.

Three people are being investigated by police. Rochelle Poszeluznyj, Robert Pellegrini and Mark Heltzel are all looking at charges for the thefts.

Here how authorities say it worked, Rochelle worked as a beverage server at the casino and when she would bring drinks to customers, some of them would pay for the drink using their player's card. To be able to pay with the players card, the player would give her their card's PIN number.

She would then give that information to Pellegini, who was the casino's vice president of player development and he would create duplicates of those players cards, using their name, card number and PIN number. He would increase the players balance of funds on the card by a few hundred dollars and then pass the card to Heltzel would use those duplicate cards to play slot machines. Heltzel would only use the money that Pellegini put on the card so the actual owner of the original card would not get suspicious.

State police say the three spent nearly $480,000 of fraudulent money, getting a total payout of roughly $419,000.
