In Touch: United Way of Dutchess-Orange Region

Each week on ‘In Touch’, our locally produced public affairs program, I have the pleasure of talking with individuals and organizations from all over the Hudson Valley. We focus on non-profit organizations and volunteers who are working hard to help make all of our communities better places to live, work, and raise our families.

This week, Melissa Clark; United Way of the Dutchess-Orange Region's Director of Community Impact stopped by our studios to not only talk about what the United Way is and how it works, but she also talked about the announcement of this year's awards, the June Days of Action, and free training for nonprofit professionals.

This just scratched the surface, we also talked about their new initiatives to help Veterans and being chosen as an Americorp VISTA organization, and much more. As you listen to the interview below, you'll see that they do practice what they say that their mission is to fight for the health, education, and financial stability of every person in our community.
