Each week on ‘In Touch’, our locally produced public affairs program, I have the pleasure of talking with individuals and organizations from all over the Hudson Valley. We focus on non-profit organizations and volunteers who are working hard to help make all of our communities better places to live, work, and raise our families.

This week, Michael Berg, Executive Director of Family of Woodstock, Inc., stopped by our studios to talk about this very busy organization. He spoke of the history, it’s humble beginnings-but powerful impact over the decades, not only in Woodstock but throughout Ulster County. While we spoke about some specific events coming up such as the Red Carpet and the Turkey Trot, the interview was quite broad as they have so many programs to help people.

Programs such as restorative justice, transitional living, the Roadhouse, food security, shelters throughout Ulster County, and many others were spoken about during the show. You can tell when you listen to Michael speak, that he is passionate about the work that Family is doing and all of the people and families that are helped through this great organization and it's wonderful volunteers.

If you, or someone you know, is involved with a non-profit organization here in the Hudson Valley and would like an opportunity to come on the show and talk about what is important to you. Please let me know, leave a message here or email me at beth.christy@townsquaremedia.com
