I Should Have Taken It As A Sign
Have you ever had one of those days that you just knew was doomed from the beginning? Today was one of those days for me.
Had a friend that needed to talk come by late last night and that meant not getting to sleep until late, which of course meant not much sleep because I'm one of those people that when I know I'm not going to get a lot of sleep, I sleep even less.
Woke up late and everyone else was still asleep and of course, no matter how quiet I tried to be, I made more and more noise. Finally got out the door, got stuck behind buses and got to Dunkin' for my coffee. It got even worse. My order number was 666. Oh man, is this a sign? Nah, I'm just being paranoid. Nope.
It rained, people are still in that holiday weekend mode and I swear, people were either worried about the rain or just didn't feel like moving. Finally, traffic clears up and the rain stops. Perfect, just a small tie up. Nope.
Accident on 84 and 3 other routes so I finally GPS a 5th way to work and it seems like it'll be smooth sailing and then I hit the Mid Hudson Bridge and all chaos breaks loose.
People were blowing threw the EZ Pass lane which meant NYS Police where stopping them, which meant even more of a traffic issue, plus, since I don't have EZ Pass, that ONE person that didn't have cash had to be in front of me.
People keep saying that 666 is a lucky number. If this is a lucky day, I'm sleeping for a week.
