Bicycle safety is important for all ages. Young or old we all need to remember to be safe when biking no matter if it is around our own driveway or over one of the many inviting trails we have throughout the Hudson Valley. This weekend you can attend a Bike Safety Quest - Kids Learn Bike Safety being hosted by the Highland Rotary Club.

This family fun event with a purpose will be held at the Tony Williams Field at 113 S Riverside Road in Highland on Sunday October 6th from 10 Am to 1 PM. There are two types of registration for this event you can select which type of registration you want by following the link button below. One registration include a helmet the other does not pick which one works for you.

The Highland Rotary Club is inviting everyone to come out for this event, learn some safety tips for biking around the Hudson Valley and then ride the rail trail. First 100 to register will get a free bike helmet provided by Nuvance Health. This event is open to all kids ages 6-14. There will also be a free bicycle inspection.

Even though it is late in the year there are still plenty of good weather days left to go biking. If you and your children haven't taken a bike safety course this will be a perfect weekend to do it. Bicycle safety is important whether you are an occasional biker or you are out every day. Even if you have taken a course in the past this could be a great reminder.
