Hudson Valley Historic Site Holds Food Truck Picnic Days

Fall picnic weather has arrive and what better place to picnic than a beautiful Hudson Valley Mansion. Olana State Historic Site the home of Frederic Church has announced their Food Truck Picnic Days for the month of October. During Frederic's time picnicing was a popular past time and that is still true today. However, we have a modern day advantage. As much as it is fun to make a picnic and bring it is even more fun to just bring a blanket and order from the food truck.

Picnics are a very American thing. Eating outdoors or as they say "al fresco" can bring a meal to a new level. Add in an amazing view and a Mansion you can tour and you've got a real day trip with friends. Each weekend in October the Food Truck Picnic Days have a delicious caterer on wheels ready to supply your food for purchase and on Columbus Day weekend they even threw in the Monday.

Pack your chairs, blankets, and coolers. Olana has a limited amount of picnic tables but plenty of room to spread out a blanket.  Bring whatever you would like but they have the food covered with a great selection of restaurants on wheels for each weekend.

Olana is located at 5720 State Route 9G in Hudson. the Food Truck Picnic hours are 11AM to 4PM on the schedule days.
