County Fairs Bring Summer Fun to the Hudson Valley
As we get closer to the 2019 County Fair season in the Hudson Valley we are getting more information on some of the things you will get to enjoy at this summer's fairs. The Orange County fair will happen first in Middletown followed by the Ulster County Fair in New Paltz. Then closing out the summer will be the Dutchess County Fair in Rhinebeck. All three fair offer rides, entertainment and food plus fun for all ages.
The Orange County Fair on Wisner Ave in Middletown opens up it's 2019 gates in just a few weeks runs Thursday July 18th through Sunday July 28th. With new rides, two music stages, Extreme Jousting and Redneck Warriors plus Monster Trucks and more this fair promises to be bigger and better than ever. You can buy tickets online and buying in advance will save you money.
The Ulster County Fair located at the base of "the Gunks" on Libertyville Road in New Paltz immediately follows the Orange County Fair. They open their gates on Tuesday July 29th with a pay one price carload night. Gates open that day at 4pm. They too offer rides, food and fun plus the stage entertainment is included in the price of fair admission. This year taking the stage will be local favorites 90 Proof along with Nashville favorites Craig Morgan, Confederate Railroad, Little Texas, Cook & Bell, Seth Cook. Then on Sunday rocker Fran Cosmo who took on the role of lead singer for the group Boston in 1992 will perform at 5:30pm.
The Dutchess County Fair will let you catch your breathe for a second but then they are ready to close out your summer with one more helping of fried dough and more fair fun. Pace yourself because you aren't going to want to miss a minute at the fairgrounds in Rhinebeck. The fair gates will open on Tuesday August 20th and run through the weekend with the last day being Sunday August 25th. Grandstand tickets are on sale for the concerts scheduled that includes country favorites LANCO, Dylan Scott with the Cadillac Three and Locash. Plus Daughtry and show still to be announced for Saturday and Sunday.
