Events Confirmed At Orange County Fair Grounds in New York

Many people in the Hudson Valley are wondering what will be happening at the Orange County Fairgrounds this year. Typically the fairgrounds is readying itself for a season of racing along with the annual county fair and usually a few other events like the annual Orange County Stampede Rodeo.

Earlier this year I reported the Orange County Speedway was going to have a smaller schedule than in years past. They released in December of 2023 that they weren't sure about their 2024 racing schedule but that they would be holding the Eastern States Weekend in October.

Now that February is fast approaching and the opening day of the Orange County Speedway would be about 10 weeks away I thought I would take another look to see if anything had been added to the schedule.

The Orange County Fair Speedway is still saying that they will hold the 63rd running of the Eastern States 200 on Eastern States Weekend which is October 25th through the 27th, 2024. They have also confirmed that stock cars will be at the speedway in 2024. All of this they confirmed in December of 2023.

Hard Clay Finale Added to Eastern States Weekend at Orange County Speedway

Since then they also announced that they will add the Hard Clay Finale on October 24th, 2024. The Bob Hilbert Track Super Series will return to Middletown, New York later this fall. However no word yet on the regular racing schedule.

The Orange County Fair Grounds is not only home to the Orange County Fair Speedway but other events are held there annually. In July the last few years, there has been a rodeo. The Orange County Stampede usually runs around the July 4th weekend.  I have not been able to find any 2024 dates for that event.

I did however see that the Orange County Fair will be returning to Wisner Avenue in Middletown, New York later this year. The Orange County Fair is Scheduled for July 18th through the 28th. They have a countdown clock on the website orangecountyfair.com
