A Hudson Valley barbecue chef has hit the big time, cooking alongside Bobby Flay and Michael Symon.

Ed Randolph is the cooking genius behind Handsome Devil Barbecue, a catering company that started in 2012 that has begun to take over the world. Randolph's recipes have won countless barbecue championships over the past few years, gaining fans from all over the Hudson Valley and beyond.

Now, Handsome Devil Barbecue has become a part of the Food Network family. Randolph announced that he has been invited to participate in the cable television channel's 2016 Wine and Food Festival. Handsome Devil will be featured at the Coca Cola Backyard BBQ Festival with Bobby Flay and Michael Symon on October 16th.

Only 15 famous pit masters were selected for the event including Hometown BBQ, Hill Country, Dinosaur, Black Tap and BLT. Randolph calls it an "honor" to be associated with these legendary chefs. As the only team invited to the Food Network event based outside of New York City, Randolph says he couldn't be prouder of his team.

Randolph hinted that there may be more announcements to come. When asked if he would be appearing on Bobby Flay or Michael Symon's television shows leading up to the event he had no official comment except for a devilish grin. But then again, they don't call himself the Handsome Devil for nothing.

Of course, Hudson Valley residents don't have to travel all the way down to New York City to try out the Handsome Devil's award winning barbecue recipes. Randolph and his crew will be serving up piles of smoked goodness at this year's Beer, Bourbon and Bacon event at the Dutchess County Fairgrounds in Rhinebeck on June 18.
