Move over Minions the Peanuts Kids are back, Snoopy, Woodstock and all the gang. I had no idea they were even considering a Peanuts Movie so imagine my excitement when I heard about it this morning on the NBC Today Show. I grew up on "A Charlie Brown Christmas" and "It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown".

All your favorite characters are back and up to all their usual antics. This will be an enjoyable trip to the movies for both young and old. Snoopy taking on the Red Baron. Woodstock busy doing what Woodstock does and of course Charlie Brown trying to figure it all out. We even might get to meet the "little red headed girl".

Craig Schulz son of Peanuts creator Charles M Schulz had the idea for the movie which he shared with his son Bryan Schulz who help his dad Craig turn his movie into a bigger version while maintaining the true Peanuts quality. The Schulz's worked hands on with Blue Sky Studio and director Steve Martino to create this cool "true to the original" 3d animation Peanuts film.

The crew on the third hour of NBC Today not only announced the Movie but they also unveiled Al Roker's Peanut Character. (No word on whether Peanut Al will make a cameo). Meghan Trainor has a musical part in the film and will release her song in September. Peanuts also created a Meghan Trainer Peanut character for the film.

Due in theaters on November 6th 2015, Peanuts is celebrating the 65th year of the comic strip and the 50th anniversary of A Charlie Brown Christmas.
