Help Two Local Police Departments Win A K-9 Grant
Two of our local Police Departments are in the running to win a nice grant and your vote can make it happen.
The 10th annual Aftermath K9 Grant is something that was put together 10 years ago to showcase, support, and reward the unique contributions made by K9 units across the country, according to the Aftermath website.
Aftermath is a company that is the nation’s largest and leading crime scene clean up specialists do such things as fast trauma cleaning and bio-hazard removal when needed.
They started the K9 Grant to help some local communities with grants totaling over $15,000 for new or established K9 programs across the United States. With the grant money to be used for maintenance, safety equipment, or officer training.
Two Ulster County agencies have been nominated for the grant this year and could receive up to $5,000 if they get the most votes. Grants will also be given to the Top 5 agencies that receive the most votes.
The Saugerties Police Department and the Town of Ulster Police Department have both been nominated and with your votes could secure some much need funds. You can vote once every 24 hours now through November 3rd, so spread the word and vote each day.
