Hawk Tuah Girl and Sketch Make a Splash on Lake Mahopac
The summer of 2024 kicked off with a bang, with a new slogan and viral video that had everyone talking. In June of this year, a video of 22-year-old Haliey Welch made the rounds.
You may be familiar with the term "Hawk Tuah." Followed up with "spit on that thang." If you have no idea what we're talking about it...Google it. It's safer that way.
I digress.
Welch showed up at the Betr Content House on Lake Mahopac on Friday, August 16th, 2024:

While on Lake Mahopac, Welch cruised around on a jet ski, threw beers off a boat, got a tattoo and met another huge social media star. If you have kids or there is a man in your life ages 16 to 35 you've probably heard the phrase "What's up brother?" a time or two made famous by influencer and streamer Sketch. Welch and Sketch met up for the first time on Lake Mahopac. Historic! Watch the moment below:

Mets Fans Upset Over Internet Personality First Pitch
Speaking of Haliey Welch... While Welch was in New York she was invited down to Citi Field to throw out the first pitch for a recent Mets game. However, her presence at the game upset Met fans. You would think Mets fans would have more to be upset about, like losing a 3 game series against the A's 2-1.
But no, Mets fans were upset that the Hawk Tuah girl threw out the first pitch.
Baseball fans took to social media to voice their concerns. Fox News found one tweet on X that said "So the Mets decided to get the Hawk Tuah Girl to throw out the 1st pitch for a summer ‘camp day’ day game where the vast majority of fans are 11 year old kids at the ballpark on camp trips. Seriously what were they thinking? Be better than this."
While it's a valid argument. Welch was there for a good cause: raising money for America's Vet Dogs which pairs dogs with veterans.
@hay_welchSo I guess the baseball community wasn’t too happy to see me yesterday . That’s okay, the main reason I went to the game was to spread awareness and donate to America’s Vet Dogs which pairs dogs with war veterans for a forever home ♾️❤️. Join me in donating to this amazing charity I’ll have the link in my story. I miss ya already Buddy ♬ original sound - Hay_welch
If it's for a good cause, is it still justifiable to be upset about it? Let us know what you think!
