Do you want to be an EMT?

I have read all over the place that there seems to be a shortage of EMTs and to try and encourage anyone that might be interested in becoming an EMT the folks at Mobile Life Support Service are now going to offer a 12 week paid EMT training academy, according to EMS1.

The free program will be a paid three month academy that will be just like a full time job including, benefits available the first day of class. They will also make health insurance available after 60 days.

The program will work like this, students will spend three days a week in the classroom, and two days in the field interning with current Mobile Life EMTs. It will be a 40 hour work week and uniforms, textbooks and computers will all be provided for students.

Why is Mobile Life Support offering a program like this? Mobile Life President and CEO Scott Woebse said that, "This is a great opportunity for anyone looking to enter the emergency services field, whether you spend a lifetime in EMS, or you’re simply taking the first step in your career path. The skills necessary to administer life-saving care are invaluable, and this academy offers individuals a chance to truly make a difference in their communities.”
