Garth Brooks will be honored with the Artist of the Decade Award at the 2019 iHeartRadio Music Awards. It's the first-ever presentation of an award that was created to reward outstanding achievements and broken records.

Brooks is the No. 1 selling solo artist in U.S. music history, with more than 148 million albums sold. He's also the first-ever artist to be awarded seven diamonds by the RIAA for having seven albums certified with more than 10 million sales on each album.

The Secret History of Garth's "Friends in Low Places"

Brooks has quite literally made history, landing him in multiple prestigious museums, including being the inaugural inductee into the Live Music Hall of Fame, as well as the Musicians Hall of Fame, International Songwriters Hall of Fame, Songwriters Hall of Fame and the Country Music Hall of Fame.

The two-hour iHeartRadio Music Awards show will air live on March 14 at 8PM ET on Fox, from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. Alicia Keys will also be honored during the show — she's to receive the iHeartRadio Innovator Award, while Halsey will get the iHeartRadio Fangirls Award.

Nominees for the iHeartRadio Music Awards were announced on Jan. 9. For country, Florida Georgia Line are nominated in the general Best Collaboration category for their single "Meant to Be" with Bebe Rexha, and Maren Morris is nominated for Dance Song of the Year for "The Middle." Carrie Underwood, Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, Luke Combs and Thomas Rhett are up for Country Artist of the Year.
