As vacation season begins to wind down and back-to-school is ready to begin, now may be the perfect time to adopt a pet and add a furry friend to your family.

If you've been thinking about adopting a pet, the Dutchess County SPCA, is hoping that you'll stop in. They have puppies and kittens, dogs, and cats, as well as other animals all looking for their furever home.

In fact, Leah Hapeman, Shelter Director at the Dutchess County SPCA and Noel Crotone, Director of Development and Community Relations at the Dutchess County SPCA recently stopped by our studios to talk about all that's been going on at the Dutchess County SPCA.

Don't miss their next event. This Friday, August 18, the Dutchess County SPCA will waive the adoption fee for any dog who has either been at the shelter for longer than thirty days or weighs more than 30 pounds. It's called #freedogfriday and you could find your best friend at the Dutchess County SPCA.

See you there!
