Over the past several days, we have certainly been making up for the lack of rainfall here in the Hudson Valley. Some locations, according to the National Weather Service have seen anywhere from three to nine inches of rain since Saturday.

This has left the ground saturated with no place else for more water to go. With the forecast today calling for more showers and thunderstorms this evening with potentially heavy rainfall, there's cause for concern of flooding.

The National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Warning for Southeastern Orange County until 6:30 this evening. Their radar has indicated a thunderstorm with heavy rainfall moving into the area. Flash Flooding is expected to occur in areas such as Ringwood, Monroe, Harriman, and Tuxedo,

Please don't drive your car through water-covered roadways. You have no way of knowing how deep or fast moving the water is. Turn around, don't drown. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
