If you're anything like me, you've been feeling a little forgetful during this whole pandemic. I forget my mask every other day.

We have a lot on our plate right now with the state of the world we are living in. With that being said, we still need to be vigilant.

The East Fishkill Police Department shared earlier this week that there have been a few car thefts recently. According to their Facebook page, they are currently investigating reports of two stolen vehicles in recent days and "several larcenies from vehicles on a reoccurring cycle."

East Fishkill PD explains that these events took place throughout East Fishkill and not in just one concentrated location and happened overnight. The Facebook page continues to say  "The perpetrators are entering unlocked vehicles and stealing items of value. If the keys are located, they will take the car."

Obviously East Fishkill Police are asking those with cars to take their valuables like "keys, purses, credit cards, cellular phones, tablets, loose change" out of their vehicles.

They also recommend locking your car at night and that if you see any suspicious activity to give the East Fishkill Police Department a call at 845-221-2111.

It's easy to forget to lock your car or leave something valuable behind, especially when we're so focused on making sure we have our gloves and masks with us when we get in and out of our car.

Take some extra time to gather everything of value to you when exiting your vehicle. Stay vigilant and stay safe!
