What is the weirdest thing a co-worker ever asked you to help them do? This past week I had the privilege of helping a co-worker who could have asked anyone for help but he asked me. And I think I know why.

Over my 35 plus years of employment I have had all kinds of jobs and worked with many different types people. Everything from teaching horse back riding lessons at a Hudson Valley barn to working in the Daily News Building in New York City. My first really job was at McDonald's in Vails Gate at the Five Corners. I was a counter worker and a birthday hostess. I don't recall being asked to help anyone there with anything unusual except for when a bus pulled in and then you could find yourself doing just about anything.

Most of the last 20 years I have been working at radio stations in the Hudson Valley as a radio DJ. As of late I have taken up buying and selling antiques. At first is was something I enjoyed doing to furnish my home and now it's turned into a fun form of self employment. So maybe that's why when my co-worker Rick Knight need someone to figure out how to change a light bulb in a cool retro re-constructed lamp he got for his birthday he thought of me when he couldn't get the bulb out.
