DEC Wants Pictures Of Women and Girls Fishing In New York
The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation is on the hunt for pictures of women fishing in New York State. Or should I say, they're dropping a line?
If you're a fisher and a woman, the DEC is looking for you. Well, specifically, pictures of you fishing in New York. According to New York Upstate, the New York DEC is getting ready to start its second phase of their WomenHuntFishNY contest. The purpose of the photos is to inspire women and girls to get outside and fish.
New York Upstate reports that the contest officially starts on June 17 and runs through July 8. If you're interested in entering, your photo must depict women fishing in New York State. If you entered in the fall phase of the contest, you will automatically be entered in the spring/summer round. Photos chosen will be featured on the DEC's website, social media, marketing, print items, and future outreach posts.
You can submit your photos with a written description to womenhuntfishny@dec.ny.gov.
