Chris Ring is within 150 miles of his finish line. He has been swimming the Mississippi River since June to bring awareness to our fallen soldiers and he has almost reached the mouth of the Mississippi.

Chris is working with the Legacies Alive a not for profit organization who supports Gold Star Families of our nations fallen troops by bringing awareness to the nation about their lives and character. All along his trip he has met with and talk to parents of soldiers who didn't make it home from conflict. As he reaches his goal people have began to join him for the final miles from all over the United States.

Once Chris enters the Gulf he will be to first American to have swam the entire length of the Mississippi River, however he isn't doing the swim for himself, he is doing it for all his brothers and sisters in arms who didn't make it home.
