CJ and Jess: the CMA Bet

Yup, we are at it again.

We are really excited that we are able to broadcast the CMA's live on the Wolf tonight starting at 8 p.m. that Jess and I had to get in on the fun. Jess has done hours upon hours of research and calculations as to who she thinks is going to win in some of the big categories. Take a look at her predictions and follow along on the radio tonight.

For me to get in on the fun, we decided that we needed to pick one category that we each have a strong feeling about who is going to win and place some sort of wager on it. The category that we are going to try and predict is the "Song of the Year".

The nominees are:

"Beautiful Crazy," Luke Combs (Songwriters: Luke Combs, Wyatt B. Durrette III, Robert Williford)
"Girl," Maren Morris (Songwriters: Maren Morris, Sarah Aarons, Greg Kurstin)
"God's Country," Blake Shelton (Songwriters: Devin Dawson, Jordan Schmidt, Michael Hardy)
"Rainbow," Kacey Musgraves (Songwriters: Natalie Hemby, Shane McAnally, Kacey Musgraves)
"Tequila," Dan + Shay (Songwriters: Dan Smyers, Nicolle Galyon, Jordan Reynolds)

Jess told us that she is going with "Tequila" based on the fact that the song was everywhere when it came out and she feels because of that, she is guaranteeing a win.

I also feel strongly that if my pick doesn't win, something is wrong with the award process. I'm going with the best song of the year, "Beautiful Crazy". It will be a travesty if Luke doesn't win!

The winner of our CMA bet will get to write in lipstick any four letter word they want on the losers forehead. If your new to the show, both Jess and I admittedly have the biggest foreheads in the Hudson Valley.

The word will not be said on the air, so any four letter word is up, good or bad. LOL! Make sure your listening tonight for the winner and wake up with us Thursday for the forehead tattooing.
