Celebrating the Color Red
If you thought you saw a lot of Red during the Christmas season, brace yourself because you will be seeing a lot more over the next few days leading up to February 14th. Red is a color that has come to symbolize love and pretty much everything associated with it. It has many meanings strength, power, even energy but there is no doubt it is the color of Valentine's Day. Recently the color red has also taken on a very important meaning. It has become a symbol for heart health awareness for women with The Go Red for Woman movement.
So in honor of Red symbolizing Valentine's Day here are some local red gifts that your Valentine might be hoping for this year.
A bottle of Red wine - I suggest the Pinot Noir from the Brotherhood Winery.
Red Hots Candy - You might try your local candy store or Samuel's Sweet Shop in Rhinebeck.
Red hot Concert tickets - Kip Moore at the Dutchess County Fair August 24th is the perfect Valentine gift.
