Most of the time when I drive home I am in a bit of a daze. I try to make a few calls while I head to the house after work to help pass the time.

My being focused on talking to a friend may be why I just noticed the oddest thing on one of the roads I used to drive home.  This is the first time I ever saw anything like this. It was yesterday that I noticed for the first time. It could have been there for a while I just never noticed but something says to me nope that's new.

So what have I discovered? I actually don't know and I am not sure how to find out. At first, I thought of that New Jersey Transit Ad that says if you see something say something but honestly I think people who live near the device have probably called to inquire about it.

So here is what I do know, this mysterious thing is strapped to a grad rail on a backroad. I believe it is a hi-tech trail camera. So then my next question is it is a camera for what? The Creek there is very active for wildlife but I have never seen anything like a bear. I don't think I have even seen a dear.

What I have seen there often is people fishing. Maybe this device will be monitoring people using the stream, not the wildlife that is roaming around it. It is actually aimed at an area where people often park.

The area where I saw the device was very wooded and partly owned by Scenic Hudson. There is a good chance it is something they are working on for some type of study. It does have a camera so it got a good picture of me taking a picture of it.

If you have ever seen one of these devices and know what it is please comment below to solve the mystery.
