They're back! Those free food samples that you haven't seen in 14 months inside the football-field-sized warehouse at Costco are returning to the delight of Costco shoppers by the end of June.

Before the freebies disappeared at Costco when COVID hit, if you played your cards right, you could wander the shopping floor and sample enough snack-size portions of gastronomical delights until you're full.

According to Quora.com, those tiny tidbits of flavor are spaced out throughout the warehouse floor starting at 11 AM until 1:30 PM. Costco CFO Richard Galanti was happy to inform Nexstar Media Wire that you might even see the free samples before the end of June.

Two words: UNLIMITED SAMPLES! According to tasteofhome.com, employees aren't allowed to enforce a limit on the free treats so, have at it!

I can't pinpoint why, but I feel really weird about helping myself to one of Costco's free samples. There's just something about five or six people standing around waiting their turn to grab a tiny paper cup full of some food morsel. Maybe it's because I know the employee is standing there waiting to judge me.

Even though I don't partake of the free goodies, I can tell you where to find them. When you walk into the Brookfield Costco and eventually make your way to the rear of the warehouse, you'll see the bakery items on your left.

Take a right where all the meats, fish, chicken, and cheeses are located and look for the little display stands with hungry people standing around and a person wearing a white lab coat and a hair net.

I don't know about your wife, but I've told mine, and she will agree that she's not allowed to shop at Costco unsupervised. The one time she did shop alone, she filled her cart up to the top, which added up to over $400. She then looked at the check-out person and said, "what was I thinking. I can't afford this!" and then calmly walked out of the store with nothing.
