Blake Shelton, Trace Adkins Coming to Hudson Valley Drive-Ins

Leave it up to Garth Brooks to start a new concert trend.

If you can remember back to last month, Garth Brooks announced that he would be playing a live concert at 300 drive-in theaters across the US. Unfortunately, he wouldn't be there live in person, but it would be streamed so fans could enjoy live music all while being socially distant.

It's looks like this might be the trend for outdoor concerts this summer.

Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani and Trace Adkins will be bringing their concert experience to the Hudson Valley on July 25th.

According to Business Wire, Blake Shelton has teamed up with Encore Drive-In Nights to bring his concert along with special guests, Gwen Stefani (his girlfriend) and Trace Adkins.

In a press release Encore Live Founder and CEO Walter Kinzie said "“We can’t wait to bring music’s biggest stars to outdoor movie screens all across North America so that people can get back out there again and safely enjoy engaging in-person experiences.”

When it comes to safety, Encore Live and local Drive-In theaters will take precaution. In the press release Encore Live states the following when it comes to following CDC guidelines:

Drive-in theaters hosting the Encore Drive-In Nights will adhere to Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommended guidelines as well as all state and local health mandates. Staff will wear personal protective equipment and enforce at least six feet of space between cars. The series will also use contactless payment and ticketing systems and limit capacity in restrooms. Guidelines around concessions will be enforced to abide by individual state regulations.

Tickets for the show go on sale on Tuesday, July 14th and will run you $115 per vehicle. 

Lucky for us here in the Hudson Valley, we'll be able to enjoy the concert at 2 of our local drive in locations.

Blake and friends will be gracing the screens at Casey Family Theaters, Warwick Drive-In in Warwick and Fair Oaks Drive-In in Middletown.
