The countdown to Halloween has begun and much like getting ready for Christmas, it helps if you start planning early. The first of October is six weeks away and we Halloween enthusiasts are feeling the pressure to be ready with our giant yard decorations.

Over the past few years, the 12-foot Giant Skeleton has taken on a world of its own. People have moved on from just probing him up in the yard with some orange glowing lights. The skeleton now has serious competition with Giant Animated Talking Horrors that people can put front and center in the yard.

Where to Find Giant Halloween Yard Decoration in the Hudson Valley

A few weeks back I told you that Tractor Supply is now selling giant farm animal skeletons to go with your 20 Foot Skeleton. You could design a whole barnyard theme but the question is should you? Maybe your town has its own built-in theme.

When I first saw the 2024 Halloween season decorations on displays at Lowes, I began thinking about towns and what Halloween symbol would go with what town. It was the Zombie Ships Captain that had me stumped until I thought about people who live in Kingston which is home to the Hudson River Maritime Museum.
