The season kicks off in May and visitors will have access to the island through paid tours until October.

The Bannerman Island Cruise and Walking Tour is the most popular of the tours that starts as a guided 45 minute walking tour of the island. Guests will visit the famous Bannerman Castle ruins and gardens, all while learning all about all things Bannerman.

These tours run Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays in May through October (with some select dates blocked off for special events).

Butterflies, Kayaks and Live Music Tours Also Available on Bannerman Island

Guests can also take the Walking & Kayaking Tour with Storm King Adventure Tours. You'll ditch the Estuary Steward ride, and paddle a kayak to the island for your Bannerman Tour.

In August, Bannerman will host their Butterfly Day Tour. This 2.5 hour guided walking tour will teach you all about the monarch butterflies that stop by Bannerman every year. The Butterfly Day Tour is a popular one, so book your tickets ASAP.
