Thursday was a crazy day in the Beacon, Fishkill area. First you had the police shooting on the Newburgh Beacon bridge and about 45 minutes after that happened someone robbed the Key Bank in the Shop Rite plaza in Fishkill.

According to the Poughkeepsie Journal, Key Bank was robbed at about 4:40 p.m.yesterday and police are hunting for a male suspect. Dutchess county sheriffs told the journal that a man walked into the bank, displayed what appeared to be a handgun, demanded money, and then fled. The amount taken was not known.

Police provided this description: The suspect is about 6 feet tall. He was wearing a black mask and sunglasses, light-gray colored gloves, and an orange T-shirt with unknown writing.

The T-shirt was worn over a black long-sleeve shirt. The suspect was wearing a watch on his right wrist, and he carried a burlap or brown-colored bag. The suspect fled the bank in an unknown direction, and it was unknown if a vehicle was used.
