Hudson Valley Business Announces New Round of Layoffs
A New York company with locations in Dutchess, Orange, and Sullivan counties has announced a new round of layoffs that will affect 96 employees at two of their multiple Hudson Valley locations.
One of the Hudson Valley's largest providers of support for folks with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Sullivan, Orange, and Dutchess Counties has officially submitted a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) notice to the New York State Department of Labor that will affect 96 jobs at two different locations.
The Arc Greater Hudson Valley Layoffs
The notice, which was dated July 2, 2024, and posted on the NYS Labor Department website on Monday, August 5th, 2024 states that layoffs will take place at two of the Arc Greater Hudson Valley locations affecting 96 positions. The notice didn't state the reason for the layoffs but did state that 54 employees at the company's 930 Raz Avenue, New Windsor, NY site and 42 employees at the 379 Mount Hope Road, Middletown, NY site will soon be eliminated.

The layoffs at each site are expected to begin on October 1st, 2024, and should be completed by October 15th, 2024 according to the notice. We have attempted numerous times to contact the Arc Greater Hudson Valley Human Resources Department for clarification on the layoffs, but haven't had any of our calls returned. When we have more information we will update this article.
