This morning the Academy of Country Music Awards announced their nominees for this year's show which will be held in Las Vegas on April 3rd. Last month the big news was that Blake Shelton wasn't going to be able to co-host with bro-friend Luke Bryan. No worries though, Luke found a new fellow friend to host with him, Dierks Bentley. So this morning Dierks did the honors of announcing the nominees on CBS.

Here is the CBS announcement.

Some of the categories that weren't mentioned that I am excited about include Video of the Year and Vocal Event of the Year. Video of the Year nominees are Kacey Musgraves for "Biscuits"; Cam for "Burning House"; Little Big Town for "Girl Crush"; Eric Church for "Mr. Misunderstood" and "Riser" for Dierks Bentley.

Vocal Event of the Year nominees are "Hangover Town" by Gary Allan featuring Chris Stapleton; "Home Alone" by Luke Bryan featuring Karen Fairchild; "Raise 'Em Up" by Keith Urban featuring Eric Church; "Smokin' and Drinkin'," by Miranda Lambert featuring Little Big Town and "Wild Child" by Kenny Chesney featuring Grace Potter. I can't possibly pick a winner in either of these categories, I love them all.

Two big categories were not announced today are Song of the Year and Songwriter of the Year.

The 51st Annual Academy of Country Music Awards will air on CBS April 3rd, at 8pm
