Community Gathering With a Heart

This annual event is more than just a celebration of motorcycles; "it's a community gathering with a heart," according to its website. Each year, organizers partner with various organizations to raise money and awareness on important issues. This year, Americade is partnering with the Ride For Kids and the Wounded Warrior Project, which provide a therapeutic escape for recovering veterans. It also supports numerous local and regional charities and has raised more than $600,000 and counting for these causes over the years.

Not only does Americade raise massive amounts of money for charities, but it is one of the biggest weeks of business for the Lake George Region resort community and gives the biggest single boost to the local Lake George economy, according to its website.
