5 Puppies Saved From Deplorable Conditions in Sullivan County, NY
In a statement posted to Facebook, the Middletown NY Humane Society shared that they are now caring for 5 puppies after they were saved from deplorable conditions. Sullivan County Animal Control Officer Joanne Gerow reached out to the local Humane Society in hopes they could help the 5 dogs including Mojo who, according to the statement, suffered from "acid burns on his face."
They believe that one of Jojo's siblings "must have been kicked" because the pup's bottom jaw was broken and "healed before they arrived." The Middletown Humane Society adds that another one of the rescued pups is suffering from a cigarette burn on his head."
JoJo is still taking time to heal, so he won't be available for adoption just yet. However, his brother and 3 sisters are all up for adoption now. Learn more on how to rescue from the Middletown NY Humane Society at Middletownhumanesociety.com.
The 5 dogs are believed to be Anatolian Shepherds and according to the Middletown Humane Society will be "very large" as adults.

Taking in puppies who need medical attention can be taxing and it sounds like these puppies will require a lot of attention. While they nurse the litter of 5 back to health they're asking the public to help in the food department.
In their original Facebook statement, they write:
we DESPERATELY need your assistance with food for these giant babies. We are in need of Purina One Dry puppy food, if you can possibly donate to help feed these precious pups, all donations are tax-deductible.
