Don't let this be another weekend on the couch. It is going to be a great weather weekend. So let's get up and move even if you have to do it in you own backyard. And if you need inspiration I have the perfect event you can be a part of simply by signing up on Facebook. The American Heart Association is hoping you will participate in the 2020 Virtual Tri-County Heart Walk this Saturday.

Let's face it we all know someone who has been effected by heart disease. Hopefully we also know someone who is a survivor. The research that the American Heart Association does is so important to helping people with heart conditions live better lives. It is also the reason that more people are educated about heart attacks and strokes. Find out more about them at heart.org.

Originally this walk was being held at Lake Welch in Harriman State Park but because of COVID 19 they had to make another plan. So just like the Dutchess Ulster Heart Walk did a few weeks back the Orange Sullivan Rockland group have taken their walk and fun run to social media so everyone can still enjoy the 5k, raise money and celebrate survivors.

It is easy to be part of this virtual event just go the the 2020 Virtual Tri-County Heart Walk Facebook page and click on "going". On the page you can see how to register, raise funds and be a part of this important event that helps fund the American Heart Association. It's easy and the whole family can join in on Saturday. You could even make it a Virtual event for you are your team if you can't be together using all the new contact platforms like Face time and Zoom.
