Of all the beers to pick from in the world, two beers made in the Hudson Valley were named the best beers in the world for 2018.

Craft Beer and Brewing Magazine put out their list of The Best 18 Beers In The World of 2018. Only two New York breweries made the list and both of them just happen to be in the Hudson Valley.

Hudson Valley Brewery in Beacon, of Dutchess County, was recognized by Craft Beer and Brewing Magazine for their sour IPA. The beer, named Demiurge, has almond notes to start, with intense pineapple and lime. The can for Demiurge describes the beer as a "tiki style sour IPA with molasses, pineapple, lime, and almonds".

The other brewery that made the list was from Suarez Family Brewery in Livingston of Columbia County. Their Palatine Pils was dubbed one of the "finest small-batch German-style Pilsners being made in America today".
