12 Hudson Valley Teachers Achieve Gold Standard Certification
Congratulations to all.
The New York State United Teachers announced on Monday January 6th, that 12 Hudson Valley teachers have achieved the “gold standard” certification from the National Board of Professional Teaching according to NYSUT.
For teachers to receive this type of certification, teachers need to have their teaching assessed through a variety of different methods that include, student work samples, teaching portfolios, performance based assessments and most teachers spend anywhere from 200 to 400 hours of their own time, unpaid to get the certification.
NYSUT said that New York has 2,115 teachers that are National Board Certified Teachers. Here are the teachers from the Valley that have achieved the "gold standard".....
