
Fire Destroys Part’s of Popular Farm in Ulster County
A massive fire engulfed parts of a family farm in Ulster County, NY, on Tuesday night.
One of the most visited family farms in Ulster County was the site of a massive fire Tuesday night along Route 208 in Gardiner, NY.
Fire at Wright's Farm in Gardiner, NY
Numerous reports have confirmed that flames have engulfed parts of Wright's Farm in Gardiner, NY Tuesday night. It's unclear what time the fire started, but according to a post on the Ulster County Fire/Rescue Facebook page, nearby fire departments were dispatched to the scene around 8 p.m. to provide mutual aid assistance with the blaze.

The Wallkill Hook, Ladder and Hose Co. was dispatched to the scene at approximately 8:20 p.m. and, as you can see in the pictures above/below, battled the large fire for hours. The department originally reported that the fire started after a tractor caught fire under a barn at the farm.
Blaze at Ulster County Farm
Folks across Ulster County reported seeing flames from the fire from as far away as 7 miles.
Numerous fire departments assisted in battling the fire, including Shawangunk, Modena, Plattekill, New Paltz, Esopus, Highland, Marlboro, and more. The New York State Police shut down Route 208 in both directions for hours while firefighters battled the blaze. The road has since been reopened. The fire is under investigation.
