World War II Veteran Asking for Birthday Cards
Let's make this veteran's birthday the best one ever.
World War II Veteran James South is getting ready to celebrate his birthday on Monday, Oct. 7 and this year is a big year for Jim as he's turning 100 years old. South joined the United States Army back in 1940 and was then deployed to Normandy seven days after D-Day, according to News 10.
Now, turning 100 is amazing, but he wants this year to be even more special and he needs our help to make it super special. The senior living home where Jim lives posted a picture of him the other day with a message asking for people to send him birthday cards.
His birthday wish is to receive 100 cards this year and we are all about making that wish come true, so we are asking you to join us in mailing Jim a card. Here is the address to send them to,
James South
5800 North Park Drive
Watauga, TX 76148
If you can send him a card make sure you thank him for his service and as far as what Jim is going to do with the cards, he said he’s going to hang them in his room.
