Wolf Den Honors An Awesome Dedicated Fire Team This Month

The Wolf Den of Heroes continues as we head into the end of 2025. We look forward to celebrating a first responder you know before we close out the year. Nominate the first responder in your life today.

Each month during the year, The Wolf teams up with Mid Hudson Pump and MHA of Dutchess County to select one of our area's first responders to be inducted into the Wolf Den of Heroes from among everyone who has been nominated to date. Sometimes it is not one individual person but actually a whole team that we put in the spotlight, like we are doing for the month of October.

The Wolf Den Hero Inductee for October 2025 is a Fire Team

The October Wolf Den Inductee this month is the Pleasant Valley Fire District in Pleasant Valley, New York. This team, led by Fire Chief John Cronk, works hard for their community year-round.

The fire department was incorporated by the state of New York in 1913. They train and stand ready to help more than 10,000 residents in the district. READ: Their story here. And for generations, families have been part of the firehouse, which keeps adding new crews.

The Pleasant Valley Fire District also holds many events during the year. In October, they held a Fall Fest for all to enjoy, and each year, like other fire companies, they also host Santa for their community.
