Unfortunately it was a hoax, but the amount of fans talking about how much they wanted one caught the attention of none other than...Oscar Mayer.

Wienie Bowl Lands at Citi Field For Mets First Home Game

To satisfy the hot dog helmet craving of Mets fans everywhere, Oscar Mayer has decided to head out to Citi Field for the Mets first home game of the season on Friday, April 4th, 2025.

Oscar Mayer is turning the Wienie Bowl into a reality! In a press release they explain:

When Oscar Mayer heard that the “Dog Bowl” was merely an illusion, it frankly had to turn the online sensation into the real thing for fans to relish IRL. After all, nothing goes better with America’s favorite pastime than its delicious hot dogs.

With that being said, the iconic Wienermobile will be "hauling buns" to Queens on Friday, April 4th to pass out FREE Wienie Bowls to fans on their way into the game.

If you're unable to get to queens for the Wienie Bowls, tag @oscarmayer in your "stadium dog pics" and they "might bring a surprise" your way this summer season "via the 27-foot hot dog on wheels."

Across town in the Bronx, Yankee Stadium is bringing some heat to the concession stand as well including a new cocktail called Bronxtail, Empanadas and the infamous Tiramisu helmet.
