As we have seen in recent years, the Hudson Valley is a popular place for tv and movies to be filmed.

If you follow the Hudson Valley Film Commission you'll know that there is always something going on filming wise. Recently there was a casting call for young baseball players for a film shooting in Brewster and the call had to be rescheduled due to popularity. So obviously, we're excited about the prospect of Hudson Valley becoming a little Hollywood.

Because we're so close to the city, a lot of television shows and movies that take place in New York use the Hudson Valley as a reference point. For instance, I was recently watching "Now You See Me 2" and Morgan Freeman's character was in jail and when they went to visit him, his jump suit read "Newburgh Correctional Facility." During the second episode of the fourth season of Orange is The New Black a corrections officer says that he came in second place at the Dutchess County Fair for a plate display. One of the most popular Hudson Valley references comes from the tv show Friends when Ross starts dating a girl from Poughkeepsie.

Whether it be television, movies or books (James Patterson is always mentioning the Hudson Valley, probably because he's from Newburgh) we want to know what's your favorite Hudson Valley pop culture reference?
