JAKE OWEN, in "Rolling Stone", admitting that he's earned his "surfer dude" image.

He says, "A lot of folks think I'm just the 'Beachin'' guy, I'm the beach bum. I'm not downplaying that. I've made a good living and a good career out of doing songs like 'Barefoot Blue Jean Night'."

What people probably DON'T know is that Jake's love of country music runs way deep. He adds, quote, "People ask me all the time, 'Why do you do this?'

"Because I love country music . . . everything dating back to Marty Robbins all the way to Roger Miller to Hank Williams Jr. to Alan Jackson. They all put out great songs."
