Make sure you don't fall for this while online holiday shopping.

According to ABC 7, there is a new email scam going around that is targeting anyone that uses Amazon.

Here is how they are saying the scam is being done, the scammers are sending out bogus emails that look like they're from Amazon. The emails are an attempt to tell buyers that their order cannot be shipped as promised.

Once buyers get one of these emails they are asked to click a link to confirm your information. After doing that a page that looks like a real Amazon, an authentic looking page with the Amazon logo asks you to enter your personal information like your name, address and credit card.

ABC 7 says that after you do all of that, the scammers wind up getting all of your information and then you are re-directed to the real Amazon website.

If you have placed an order with Amazon and you think there is a problem with your order, you should sign into the Amazon site directly and go to "Your Orders" to determine if there is a purchase that matches the details in the email.

Amazon told ABC that if there isn't a match, it's not real.
