Woman Freaks Out Waiting For Food at New Restaurant in Poughkeepsie

If you are planning to order takeout food from Poughkeepsie, New York's newest wing restaurant you should prepare to wait a while for your order.

Back in June, we told you that one of the most anticipated restaurant openings in Poughkeepsie was happening soon. At the time Wing Stop was putting the finishing touches on its brand new location at 50 Winslow Gate Rd, Poughkeepsie, NY and wing fans in the area were excited to try them out.

When it was announced that Poughkeepsie was finally getting a Wing Stop many of us (me included) couldn't wait to order and enjoy what some call the best wings anywhere! I've tried their wings before at the Newburgh, NY location but having a location in my neighborhood was something I couldn't wait for. The new restaurant opened approximately two weeks ago and after waiting a while for them to work out the new restaurant's "kinks" I decided to order a bunch of food the other night and witnessed some craziness!

If you are planning to order food at the Poughkeepsie Wing Stop, I would highly recommend ordering online BEFORE you go, and plan on waiting a bit longer than you would like to get your food. I placed my order online Thursday around 3:30 p.m. and scheduled the pick up for 6 p.m. that same night. I arrived at 6:05 and was told they were running behind and my food would be done as soon as possible.

Wait Times Causes Woman to Freak-out in Poughkeepsie!

While I waited patiently, a few customers who were already waiting began getting extremely frustrated, leading one woman to "freak out" on one of the employees. The woman asked the man behind the counter how much longer it would be for her order. He politely said, "I can't give you an estimate because it's busier than I've ever seen it, so I don't wait to lie to you." Before the guy could finish his sentence the woman began screaming that she'd been waiting for 35 minutes and had no "F4%%&* time for this S^&%#. So cancel my F%$#*() order and keep your trifling wings!!"

Thankfully after yelling the lady left leaving all of us standing in shock. "What did we just witness", said one customer. As much as I hate when wait times or orders run late, I don't think there's any reason to freak out like this woman did. Believe me, I was just as frustrated after waiting until 7:05 p.m., a full hour after they said it would be done to get my food but by no means would I scream like that, I'll write about it...LOL!
