Former Area Pizza Hut to Become Something New Soon
The site of a former Pizza Hut restaurant will soon reopen as another popular fast food chain near the Hudson Valley, New York leaving many wondering if it will be a Chick-fil-A, Popeyes, White Castle, or Wendy's.
Pizza Hut Becoming Something New
The Pizza Hut located at 75 Maple Ave in Catskill, New York closed in December 2022, and after it closed many area residents hoped that a new business would move it to the vacant space soon. In 2023 it was rumored that plans had been submitted to the Village of Catskill Planning Board to have the space converted to a cannabis dispensary named the Green Hut.

Those plans were abandoned after the Village of Catskill Planning Board approved different plans for another dispensary, Catskill Roots, which was to be located at 79-81 Maple Avenue. (The village prohibits cannabis shops from being within 2,000 feet of each other.) So what would be the next best option for a former fast food type restaurant?
Another fast food restaurant of course!
