Village Pancake Factory Coming to Fishkill, NY
Yes, a new Village Pancake Factory is coming to Route 9 in Fishkill at the former Hudson Ribs & Fish, ODA, and BarVino location.
The new location, which was rumored to be happening earlier this year after closing its Poughkeepsie Galleria location, has been under construction for months and is getting closer to opening, according to the owners.
What Happened to the Sign on Route 9?
We spoke to one of the owners, Izzy Roman, who confirmed that Village Pancake Factory will be opening in Fishkill as soon as possible. Roman explained the sign's disappearance by telling us that the sign that went up last week was a "mock" sign that the town asked him to put up so they could see what it would look like along Route 9.
Soon after it went up, it was taken down and will go back up again after some adjustments are made.

Roman also told us that once they decided to leave the Galleria, he and his partner, Nathan Roman, purchased the former ODA/BarVino location in Fishkill.
Following the purchase, they realized that the buildings, both inside and outside, required massive upgrades before they could even think about opening a new restaurant.
Roman told us that since the purchase earlier this year, construction crews have been working nonstop on rebuilding the restaurants.
"We've replaced the bathrooms, the roof, plumbing, the entire kitchen, and more," said Roman. "It's taking a bit longer than we hoped, but it will be worth the wait when everyone gets to enjoy our vision when we open."
Roman explained our vision is to combine two once successful brands, "We want to be the place where IHOP meets Friendly's."

Their menu will also include breakfast platters, omelets, pancake and waffle wraps, and much more. They will also offer signature sandwiches, burgers, wraps, and a full dinner menu including steaks, pasta, and seafood.
The new Fishkill location will also feature a "Shake Station Bar" that will be half cocktail bar, half milkshakes.
"Adults can get a variety of cocktails like margaritas, martinis, and more on one side, and on the other side, we will feature the milkshake station," said Roman. "We will offer a variety of milkshake flavors, including the classics and our Upscale Milkshakes like the Peanut Butter Cup and the Cinnamon Toast Crunch milkshakes."
New Banquet Hall & A Surprise
Roman also told us that the new location will also feature Julian's Room, a private banquet room that can be used for any private event, including small weddings, bridal showers, meetings, and more.
He also said that they will offer "Pancake and Pajama" parties and children's birthday parties.
Roman expects the new Fishkill location to be open early in the new year. He also told us that as the opening approaches, they will be introducing a new fast-food concept restaurant to the area that is sure to surprise everyone!
