The accident took place as snow and sleet fell across the Hudson Valley on Sunday.

I have always admired people who drive plow trucks. It has to be one of the hardest driving jobs you can have and sometimes things don't go as planned.

According to the Daily Freeman, an Ulster County Department of Public Works snowplow struck a utility pole while plowing snow on Kripplebush Road in Accord late Sunday morning.

The accident, which allegedly took out a utility pole, caused around 1,300 Central Hudson customers to lose power for a little while.

According to Central Hudson spokesperson Chris Hayes, 99 percent of customers have had power restored quickly and he said a pole was broken and utility crews had to put up a new pole.

The New York State police in Wawarsing told the Freeman that they were investigating the incident and once the police release any updates we will update this story.
