A local woman woke up to find a man allegedly burglarizing her bedroom.

On Monday around 4:15 a.m., members of the Kingston Police Department responded to a reported burglary on Main Street. The resident, a 63-year-old woman, said she woke up to find a man in her bedroom. The woman briefly struggled with the man, causing a cut to her hand, police say.

The man then fled. Members of the Kingston Detective division began an investigation and developed 26-year-old Lukas Suter-Winter of Kingston as a person of interest. He was later charged with two-counts of felony burglary. He’s being held pending arraignment.

The investigation is continuing, police say.
